PRINCE2®
Projects IN a Controlled Environment version 2 (PRINCE2®) is a project management methodology developed by the UK Government. The methodology provides project managers with the tools to manage projects more effectively.
PRINCE2® is widely used in both the public and private sectors here in Scotland and also the rest of the United Kingdom where it is the leading project management methodology. It is also gaining more recognition throughout the rest of the world with organisations in countries such as Australia and Canada to name but a few now having adopted the PRINCE2 approach to project management.
PRINCE2® is based on 7 guiding Principles that underpin the methodology but it also provides 7 Processes to be undertaken throughout the project lifecycle as well as giving guidance on 7 key project management Themes to be applied during the project.
